7 Apr 2008 - Ron Cohen, aged 75, will be running in the 2008 London Marathon for Stevenage Haven
Ron Cohen, Stevenage Haven's Finance Officer, will be running in the 2008 28th London Marathon on Sunday 13th April 2008.
Ron will be running in his 6th London Marathon, having run in 1982, 1987, 1989, 1993 and 2001, and this time he will be aged 75 when he runs the 26.2 miles through the streets of London.
Ron commented "My 'best time' was 3 hrs 52 min in 1987. In 2001 my time was 5 hrs 12 min. In 2008 I hope to get round (eventually)! I have run two other marathons, Stevenage 1984 (3 hrs 49 min) and Bedford 1984. My children and grand children think I am mad - they are probably right!"
Ron is well into his training and running regularly with a number of groups including Stevenage Spartans http://www.fvspartans.org.uk/ .
