Stevenage Haven, in partnership with Stevenage Borough Council, is launching a night shelter service to protect the homeless during severe weather conditions from 1 December until February 2012.
The Haven, which provides emergency accommodation all year round, has extended its service to make the night shelter available to those on the streets in the coldest months. Stevenage Haven provides food and shelter and will also be working closely with the homeless and local organisations to help prevent rough sleepers returning to the streets.

The Sanctuary in Hitchin will also be providing an extended service in association with North Herts District Council.
