17 Sep 2007 - SECURE AND SETTLED PROJECT STARTS
The Secure and Settled project provides proactive tenancy sustainment support to ex-residents of Chris Foster House in their own homes and provides them with the support needed to overcome problems which might otherwise lead to them losing their home. The project also includes some additional resettlement support to residents of Chris Foster House who are moving on.
Grant funding has been awarded which has enabled employment of a Secure and Settled Worker on a 23.5 hours per week basis for 3 years. Tania Barradell started work in this post in mid September 2007. She has already started working with current residents of Chris Foster House and is supporting ex-residents in their own accommodation. FOR MORE DETAILS OF THE PROJECT FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW.
Funding was awarded by a number of charitable trusts for which Stevenage Haven is very grateful and these include The Peter de Haan Charitable Trust, The Albert Hunt Trust, Hertfordshire Community Foundation, The Dowager Countess Eleanor Peel Trust, The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust. Sleepout 2006 money is also being used for the project and we are grateful to those who bravely slept out on the night and to their sponsors who helped them to raise funds for this project.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY SUPPORT THIS PROJECT OVER THE LONG TERM THEN PLEASE READ THE ATTACHED 'SHARE IN SUCCESS' LEAFLET.
