The homelessness statistics for Chris Foster House, Stevenage Haven's emergency single homeless hostel, are now available to download and cover the years 2003-2008. The detailed statistics are included as well as 10 summary charts.
Key trends are the improvement in planned move on rates from the hostel, which in 2008 reached 68.8%, and the continuing high level of demand for hostel places from single people who find themselves homeless. Demand has outstripped supply of hostel beds for at least the last 6 years and this has meant that on average we have been forced to turn away 498 referrals per year.
