Supporters
Stevenage Haven originated in the early 1990's as
an initiative of local churches in and around Stevenage. We now receive
support from many individuals and a wide range of organisations
including churches and church related organisations, schools, clubs and
societies, local businesses and companies. We also receive grants from a number of charitable trusts and funds who generously support our projects in response to specific requests. The picture shows representatives from the Thomas Alleyne School delivering gifts for residents collected across the school at Christmas.
Stevenage Haven's continued success is dependant on the ongoing support of individuals and organisations within the community. If you haven't read our Supporters Newsletter there's a copy which can be downloaded or viewed below. We need your support.
If you're representing a Company
There are a number of ways companies can become involved in helping homeless men and women. Here's how!

Donating Goods
We always need towels, pillows, bedding, general kitchen equipment, video's, DVD's, books, mugs, shaving foam, pants and socks (male), garden and house plants, washing powder, tinned food, tea/coffee, and dried goods. An up to date list of items we need can be found by clicking here. We can arrange to collect donations if you are unable to deliver them. Please always ring 01438 354884 before delivering to ensure we are able to accept your donation at Stevenage Haven, 5 Ditchmore Lane, Stevenage, Herts, SG1 3LJ.
Donating Money
Stevenage Haven always needs money. Donations allow us to develop, expand and provide our services. For example our Resettlement fund helps clients who have got their own home settle in, by supplying a "Moving-In" package, a basic supply of essential items. To make a Single or Regular donation click on virgin money giving. Alternatively you can print the two donation sheets provided below, fill in the relevant sections, and then return to: Stevenage Haven, Chris Foster House, 5 Ditchmore Lane, Stevenage, SG1 3LJ. The form includes a Gift Aid declaration which, if you are a UK taxpayer, allows us to reclaim from the Inland Revenue 28p for every £1 you donate. Donations may be made by cheque, Standing Order, Direct Debit or Credit Card.
Do you use a Credit Card?
If you switch to the Virgin Charity Credit Card then you raise either 80p or £1 for your chosen charity for every £100 you spend on the Virgin Charity Credit Card. To raise £1 per £100 the donation includes Gift Aid which requires that you are a UK taxpayer. The Virgin Charity Credit Card can be applied for on line and Virgin Money aim to provide an immediate decision and for successful applications the card takes about 7 - 10 working days to be arrive. Users of the card also receive a discount across the Virgin Group of companies and beyond. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact the Virgin Money customer helpline on 0800 015 0306. Lines are open 24/7 all year round.
