Corporate Support
Stevenage Haven is dependant on the generosity of the public to enable us to continue providing shelter and support to homeless people. We are particularly keen to build on our relationships with the local (and not so local) business community.
There are many different ways organisations can become involved and support the Haven Charity and help improve the lives of the homeless and dispossessed.
Sponsorship
We have regular need for sponsorship of our mail-outs and printing of our Newsletters and Annual Report. In addition there are a range of events that are suitable for corporate sponsorship.
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving allows employees to donate to Charity direct from their pay reducing the amount of tax and NI they pay as the charity donation is taken out of their gross pay before tax and NI is deducted. One of the agencies providing payroll giving services is the Charities Trust and more information can be found at

Challenges
Challenges allow your staff to build their team working skills whilst making a real difference to homeless people. Teams may choose to tackle painting, gardening or organising a fundraising activity. Donations
We always need donations to improve our services and develop new ones. Donations may be directed towards a particular activity, project or client-group. Information is available on tax-efficient giving.
Gifts In Kind
Surplus office equipment and stationery are frequently of use to us, particularly working computers. Small gifts for Christmas and clients' birthdays are always wanted (personal goods, dvd?s, books etc). We keep updated our Wish List which allows donors to know what we currently need (and what we can't use)
Employee Volunteers
Individuals and departments may often be able to offer services for discrete areas of work eg: training and personnel, finance, communications. We are always looking for staff representatives to organise occasional fundraising initiatives.
Support for all the above is available, with background and back-up literature and staff support. Donors are our friends, and we like to keep in touch and encourage feedback through our regular Newsletter (view or download below). The above are only examples of ways in which help can be given.
